Prisons & Police

 The Human Rights Commission conducts regular visits to prisons and police cells aimed at ensuring that conditions of life for the prisoners and those looking after them are in line with the international minimum standards on the treatment of prisoners and the principles governing the establishment of prisons. Though there is hope for a new face of Zambian prisons, the situation is far from being desirable.
